A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Futsal Federation was held today. It was discussed whether the games in the Premier League, which have been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, will continue or not. The decision to suspend the season and determine the winning teams in accordance with the current tournament schedule was accepted unanimously. According to the decision, "Araz" was declared the champion and will represent our country in the UEFA Champions League 2020/2021 season.

Today, Azerbaijan national futsal team played its next match within the elite round of the World Cup 2020.
Our team who met the national team of Russia won the match with a score of 4:3. Other goals were scored by Rafael Vilela and Jesus Atayev in the match where Everton Cardoso doubled from the squad of our national team.
Our national team will play its last game in the group on February 1 at 20:00 against Slovakia.
