Coach of the national team of Azerbaijan, who played with Russia and won today in the qualifying round of the WC-2020, Jose Alessio Da Silva commented on affa.az:

“It was psychologically difficult to focus on the game with Russia after losing to Croatia. When I shared my assignments for the match in the morning, I said that we played well against Croatia. Now we need to increase the concentration and the exact number of blows.  It is of no use to talk about the strength of our opponent and its place in the futsal world. We were able to realize what is important today - the episodes we created. But we couldn't do it in the first game and lost. Of course, I was pleased with the performance of the team game.

Our chances to be qualified for the final round continue. Even if we say this in numbers, I would say 50 to 50. What is important to us is to defeat the Slovakian national team. When we are able to do this, we can talk about the Russian-Croatian game and analyze the situation in our group.”
